One measure announced by Senate majority Leader would create Department of Early Childhood
At the State House Tuesday, Senate majority leader Teresa Ruiz rolled out her first major policy proposal since taking the position. It's a package of bills to address child care needs. One bill would create a Department of Early Childhood. A second would address accessibility by adding 1,000 infant and toddler openings at child care centers located in so-called child care deserts.
